Keeping this thought of Swami Vivekananda in mind,a group of likeminded people from different professions got together to join hands and serve humanity in whatever small way they could.

They felt the pain and suffering of the poor, needy, down-trodden, backward,aged,ailing,helpless, distressed people & tried to fulfill their long desired dream irrespective of any cast, creed or religion.They came together and formed an organization by the name of "SOUTH KOLKATA MANASI", in the year 2007.This social welfare organization was registered by the Govt.of West Bengal in the year 2007 as-S/1L/49370.

South Kolkata Manansi started its new journey to render medical assistance for downtrodden community at Pratapnagar organising Medical Camp every 2nd & 4th Sunday of the month with assistance of Manjuri. Secy.S.K.Manasi.

South Kolkata Manansi since its inception started its journey to render medical, educational and social assistance for downtrodden community. During Covid-19 period started rendering help by providing medicine, food articles, cloths, mosquito net, blankets etc amongst the underprivileged community as well as educational assistance to the meritorious students of several schools (20 of Sonarpur & surrounding) namely Paramananda Sishu Niketan (Girls Home), Naktala, Save the Orphans, Renia by providing Sahayaika books along with educational articles as per students requirements. That apart, from 2020 on the occasion of Sharod Utsov provided new dresses to the students of its own Drawing School, Girls Home, Save the Orphans and several needy of surrounding men and women. Presently since 2018 and its onwards Manasi running permanently free coaching centre (1) Drawing School (students 60 around), 2. Computer coaching (15 students), 3.Every Saturday morning from 10 A.M. onwards by prior appointment (Contact No.8777543067/8777745478) mental and speech therapy. Very soon we are going to start Beautician Course (aged group 18 to 35 years). Goal

After being of some help to the needy,we have pledged to be of some more use to the society,to extend our activities and helping hand a bit further and reach a few more people.

Mission

To contribute more meaningfully towards the upliftment of the underprivileged, destitute children, ailing senior citizens, handicapped, distressed women and the suffering humanity at large. 1. Providing medical assistance to the needy at remote areas. 2. Financial support to poor but meritorious students. 3. Vocational training and support for the economic empowerment of the underprivileged.
